Everything you need, from morning ‘til night.

Whether you’re searching for the perfect spot to watch the sunrise or you’re ready to take in the local nightlife, Sehome’s central location makes it easy to take advantage of all that this dynamic city has to offer. Popular breweries and restaurants as well as wonderful night clubs await only a few blocks away downtown, making it easy to get home safely from your night on the town.

When it’s time to grab something to get a quieter bite to eat and a beer, residents recommend places like McKay’s Taphouse, Boomer’s Drive-in, On Rice Thai Cuisine, just to name a few. With such a perfect location, it’s easy hiking at Sehome Hill Arboretum, taking in a show at Western, and going boating at the waterfront all in one day. It’s quick to run errands at the nearby Fred Meyer, or a myriad of quirky small businesses, and interstate access is minutes away.

“Sehome is a great neighborhood situated between amenities for WWU students and downtown. However, it's lovely and quiet, and full of beautifully maintained old homes. It's close to downtown, offering a lot of access to nightlife. There are also lots of little parks scattered throughout, allowing leisurely afternoon walks. It's also a very popular party neighborhood for Western Students, offering a lively community. The historic homes in this neighborhood are almost an attraction themselves! With sweeping bay views and lovely homes to check out and a booming nightlife blocks away, there's no shortage of options for activities.”

“There is a lot of ‘college life and energy’ and a three block walk and you are in downtown Bellingham which has a lot to offer.”

Gene, Bellingham Resident

“My favorite thing about Sehome neighborhood is the amazing trails and nature that can be experienced in Sehome arboretum and also the easy walk to WWU campus for classes or events.”

Jerry, Bellingham Resident

“There are so many good restaurants in downtown Bellingham which is a very short walk... Pepper Sisters...Boundary Bay Brewery...etc...(Bellingham is often called "the Little Portland OR" due to the people being so mellow and now offering cool brewery/restaurants all over downtown, like Portland).”
